Reducing impacts starts with understanding them, measuring them and monitoring them over time. This is the principle behind Gruppo Luci’s 2024-2025 Sustainability Report, “Misurare per crescere” (Measuring to Grow), and for Gesteco it reflects the way we work every day.
Our reporting journey began in 2022 with Gesteco’s first Sustainability Report. Since 2023, our data have been included in the Group Sustainability Report, together with those of the other Group companies.
The 2024-2025 edition has been prepared on a voluntary basis in accordance with the VSME standard and consistently with the GRI Standards, and presents data for each company and on an aggregated basis.
Our services form an integrated system: understanding an impact informs the choice of intervention, and the outcome of each intervention is in turn measured and monitored. The Report covers every stage of this cycle: analyses performed by our accredited laboratories, waste flows through our facilities, energy, water and fuel consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The following figures provide an overview of how our services and our company’s impacts evolved over the 2024-2025 period. Measurement enables us to see where we are improving, where there is room to do more, and what evidence should inform our future decisions.
Behind every figure are the people who measure impacts, design solutions and bring their expertise to the field.
As at 31 December 2025, Gesteco had 132 employees, with turnover down to 12.12% and an average of 15.8 training hours per capita (10.7 in 2024). No serious injuries were recorded in 2025, supported by an occupational health and safety management system certified to UNI EN ISO 45001.
Several initiatives developed by Gesteco are now shared across the Group: the centralised system for tracking the training of all employees, the coordination of occupational health services and the WHP workplace health promotion programme. Launched by Gesteco in 2019, the WHP programme has also involved Labiotest, LOD, Ecofarm and Elle Partecipazioni since 2023.
Recognition from independent third parties provides an external view of the continuity of our journey.
In 2024-2025 Gesteco received three such awards: the 2024 Sustainability Award, for the second consecutive year; inclusion among the 100 best-performing companies in the Cividale and Alto Isontino area; and the 2025 WHP FVG Award as a health-promoting workplace. The latter recognises a programme that now involves the entire Group.
Our ties with the local area are built over time through lasting relationships with sports, cultural and educational organisations. For five years we have been main sponsor of UEB Gesteco Cividale, a project also supported by Labiotest and Ecofarm, which won the 2025 Serie A2 Super Cup.
We support Volleybas and the integrated basketball project Zio Pino Baskin, the latter together with Labiotest. In the cultural sphere we have sponsored Mittelfest and collaborated with the Syncretica foundation. Together with EnAIP FVG we promoted the GreenFor Sustainability Academy. We also take part in career orientation initiatives, from UEB4Work, which we have joined since its first edition, to the FVG Job Fair.
This Report marks one stage of a journey we continue with method, data and shared responsibility.
